Description

Furnish all labor, material and equipment necessary for the project Reactivate Building 79 at the VA Northern Indiana Health Care System, 1700 E 38th Street, Marion, IN 46953. Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials and supervision necessary to remove existing roofing and install new roofing where specified. This work shall include, but is not limited to, removal of existing roofing, removal of certain vents, replacing damaged or rotted decking and fascia boards, finishing of asphalt shingles and installing E.P.D.M. roofing on all flat sections of roof. The bid also includes capping certain vents and refastening all scuppers, gutters, and downspouts along with installing cast iron clean-outs at the base of the downspouts. Estimated construction cost is between $100,000 and 250,000. Applicable NAICS is 238160 and $14 million applies. This project is 100% set-aside for a service-disabled veteran owned small business. A pre-bid walk through is scheduled for April 15, 2010 at 10:00 AM in Building 52, Engineering conference room. Completion time is 90 days after date of receipt of notice to proceed. Solicitation will be available on or about April 5, 2010. Bid opening is scheduled for May 5, 2010.
