Description

RECOVERY - The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Northeast Region has a requirement for Construction Services for a Hydropower Turbine Project at the Craig Brook National Fish Hatchery, East Orleans, ME (Hancock County). The work under this project consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, materials and supplies necessary to result in a complete and usable system. Work includes but is not limited to furnishing and installing a hydroelectric turbine-generator unit, valves, piping and mechanical items, and electrical and control systems. Also included is environmental protection during construction. This procurement is open to any size business. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 221111. A 20% Bid Bond, a 100% Payment Bond and a 100% Performance Bond are required for this project. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered. The magnitude of construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. The solicitation package, including technical specifications, drawings, and proposal documents will be posted to www.fbo.gov on or about April 9, 2010. The period of performance for this project is 180 calendar days. Proposals will be due on May 10, 2010 by 2:00 pm (EST). Interested contractors must be registered at the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) website at www.ccr.gov and complete Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA) at www.bpn.gov, to be eligible for award. A site visit can be arranged by contacting the Hatchery Manager at (207) 469-6701. The project site is at 306 Hatchery Road in East Orleans, ME. Department of Labor Davis-Bacon wage rates will apply to this work. Electronic submissions will not be accepted. ARRA Requirement: The Awardee will be subject to Section 1512(c) of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act which requires each contractor to report on its use of Recovery Funds under the awarded contract. These reports will be made available to the public.
