Description
The Architect of the Capitol (AOC) is soliciting proposals for Monumental Exterior Exit Doors located at the East Vestibule, West Vestibule and South Vestibule of the John Adams Building. The contractor shall modify the existing exterior historic doors to remain fixed in an open position. Furnish and install bronze Door Assemblies (door, frame, hardware, cast glass and transom), including method/attachment to structure, custom bronze door pulls and sealant. At West Exit/Vestibule, furnish and install bollard on the exterior side. The AOC will use a lowest price technically acceptable evaluation procedure for this requirement. This procurement will result in the award of one Firm Fixed Price contract. A pre-proposal conference is scheduled for April 15, 2010 at 10:00 AM, inside the Main Lobby of the Library of Congress, John Adams Building in Washington DC. Work shall be in accordance with the specifications and drawings in solicitation RFP100045. The contractor shall provide all tools, equipment, materials, services and certifications to furnish and install the work described in solicitation RFP100045. The contractor shall provide shop drawings, product data and samples as required by the specifications for the COTR approval. The contractor is responsible for the verifications of all field dimensions and surveys. The contract is required to provide a technical proposal and a price proposal as required in solicitation RFP100045. The monumental exterior doors shall be installed in the Library of Congress, John Adams Building in Washington DC. This solicitation will be available electronically at http://www.aoc.gov/business/procure-opps.cfm on the date of issuance. INTERESTED PARTIES ARE ENCOURAGED TO DOWNLOAD THE ELECTRONIC VERSION TO OBTAIN THE SOLICITATION. The date for issuance of the solicitation on the AOC website will be on/or about April 8, 2010. THIS SOLICITATION IS ISSUED ON AN AUNRESTRICTED BASIS@ INVITING FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION.
