Description

The proposed contract action is for commercial item, which the Naval Medical Center San Diego intends to solicit this requirement on a sole source basis to Necletron Corp, under the authority of Far 13.106-1(b). Interested contractors/persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit Quotations. This notice of interest is not a request for competitive Quotations. However, all Quotations received by 21 APRIL 2010, 06:00AM, Pacific Standard Time, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number, N00259-10-T-0248 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 811219. All interested bidders shall submit quotations electronically by email to christopher.jennen@med.navy.mil, attention Christopher Jennen. E-mail submissions are limited to 2MB. The submitter should confirm receipt of facsimile and email submissions. Quotations are due on or before 20 April 2010, 06:00AM Pacific Daylight Time to be considered responsive. CLIN 0001 BASE YEAR Nucletron Corp service maintenance contract coverage:In accordance with the SOW Full service maintenance contract to include all parts, labor, transportation and unlimited Maintenance calls, corrective and Preventive for the Period of 22 Jun 2010 -30 SEP 2010. $___________________CLIN 0002 OPTION YEAR ONE (1) Nucletron Corp service maintenance contract coverage:In accordance with the SOW Full service maintenance contract to include all parts, labor, transportation and unlimited Maintenance calls, corrective and Preventive for the Period of 01 OCT 2010 -30 SEP 2011. $___________________Under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), sole source justification is based on Necletron Corp, having proprietary equipment and software that only vendors specifically licensed by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) can service the equipment and perform radioactive source replacements. The vendor must also be able to furnish to the Government licensing to use the software of the system and provide updates/upgrades, as they are made available. Contractor must be registered to the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to award.
