- Notice of Intent to award to a Sole Source The U.S. Army, Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) intends to award a contract sole-source basis under the statutory authority permitting Other Than Full and Open Competition 10 U.S.C.2304(c) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements to White Systems, Inc. 30 Boright Ave, Knilworth NJ, 07033-1015. This requirement is for the purchase of expansion components for the existing White Systems Power Column Lift System already in use at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Washington DC. This system is used for the storage and retrieval of patient and animal glass slides, and is operated using White Systems proprietary software product. This specific requirement is for the purchase of three additional Power Column Lifts with slide trays for the storage of additional glass slides. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government in the future. Interested parties may identify their capabilities by responding to this requirement, no later than 2:00 pm EST, 15 April 2010. All information submitted should support the offeror's capability to provide the items required, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be in writing and must provide clear and concise documentation indicating an offeror's bona fide capability to provide these items. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. Responses may be submitted via email to andrew.urben@us.army.mil if the total file size is less than 5 pages. Capabilities statements will be maintained for future reference.
