- Description
- The Social Security Administration is pursuing several initiatives to speed up the disability determination process to allow eligible claimants to receive timely disability decisions. One such initiative is the concept of the Medical Record Data Viewer (MRDV), which makes it possible to take advantage of the data centric nature of electronic health records (EHR). The concept of the MRDV is to meet current functional needs, such as searching, sorting, filtering, summary and form display, and feature rich annotations for those who need to display, analyze, and document medical records during the disability determination process. The concept will also introduce new and dynamic functions using the structured data available in EHRs. The target solutions must address the following functionality: • Ability to search for a term, or a string of terms with medical information or user created content • Ability to filter or refine search results based on user defined parameters • Ability to display subset of refined searches • Ability to display medical information based on parameters • Ability to copy and paste certain medical information • Ability to navigate to specific medical information, and save displayed medical information as a view • Ability to access previously saved view within the MRDV, and identify medical information to include in an exhibit that is available for display once saved • Ability to input or add claim analysis information to a view and display information when a user accesses a claim.
