Description
SOLICITATION NO. W9128F-10-R-0042 On or about 5 May 2010, this office will issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a wide range of design-build and construction services at sites in Colorado to include buildings, structures, and site work. This will be a Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) with up to two (2) Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business contract awards with a shared capacity of $14,000,000. The minimum guarantee amount for the base period is $5,000. Work completed under this contract lies within NAICS Code 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The small business size standard for this NAICS Code is $33.5M. The solicitation will close on or about 8 June 2010. Performance and payment bonds will be required on a task order basis. This solicitation is RESTRICTED TO SERVICE DISABLED SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION. As part of this solicitation, Task Order No. 0001 will be awarded to the Offeror deemed to be the best value. Task Order No. 0001 is FLOORING AND PAINTING IN VARIOUS BUILDINGS at Buckley AFB, CO. Site visit information is TBD. Provisions in the solicitation documents will provide detailed information (meeting place, time, points of contact, and access requirements). DO NOT submit requests for plans and specifications to the site visit personnel listed above. See Obtaining Solicitation Documents below. _______________________________________________________________________________ Task Order No. 0001 Description: (Approx. quantities) The work to be completed consists of flooring and painting at approximately seven buildings (B205, B28, B730, B806, B606, B1005 and B 1007) at Buckley AFB, CO. This project consists of carpet and linoleum demolition and installation and painting of walls, cove bases, doors, door frames, hand rails, etc. Approximate areas are as follows (actual areas will be provided in the solicitation documents): Wall painting - 155,000 sq ft Cove base painting 18,000 ft Door painting 50 sq ft Door frame painting 1050 sq ft Total removal and installation of carpet will add up to approximately 6900 sq yds (not divided equally). Total removal and installation of linoleum will add up to approximately 900 sq yds (not divided equally). The estimated construction cost of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. _______________________________________________________________________________ For Task Order No. 0001, the Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 240 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bonding documents including the power of attorney shall bear an original signature by an officer of the surety.
