- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has a requirement to purchase office furniture with installation and clean up for Mobile District Office and intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under contract number W91278-10-G-0001, Knoll, Inc., 1235 Water St East Greenville, PA 18041-2202, under authority of FAR 6.302. The requirement is necessary as a part of the remodeling of the building. It was determined that to maintain compatibility, interchangeability, and efficiency for spare parts with the rest of the building for reconfigurations as well as for saving thousands of dollars to do the regular and constant reconfigurations that are required for the building, it is determined to be in the Governments best interest to buy Knoll equipment. The rest of the building is outfitted with KNOLL furniture and equipment. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within fifteen calendar days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
