Description
Title: Product Plan, Sales and Production Forecast Information for 2017-2021 Introduction: NHTSA and EPA have recently finalized CAFE standards for US market 2012-2016 Model Year Passenger Cars and Light Trucks. Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to supplied product plan information containing detailed individual vehicle information forecasted from 2012 through 2016. The purpose of the product plan information was to assist the agency in proposing CAFE standards for this defined period. Moving forward, NHTSA will be issuing a Request for Proposals for Product Plan, Sales and Production Forecasting information regarding 2017-2021 model year Light Duty, Medium Duty and Heavy Duty vehicles. Specific Requirements: The Contractor shall be responsible for compiling and providing detailed product plan information. The Contractor should have expertise in the field of Passenger Car, Light, Medium and Heavy Duty on-road vehicle forecasting. The Contractor should have an established line of industry forecasting products which are subscribed by Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Tier 1 suppliers for use as credible industry intelligence in their respective planning activities. As such, the Contractor should have experienced staff with knowledge of industry sources, and technological capability to maintain and disseminate forecasting information with such frequency as to maintain currency with industry change. Contract Award: NHTSA intends to award a single, Firm-Fixed Price contract for 24 (twenty-four) months. The contract will also include a provision by which three (3) one-year option periods can be exercised (in one-year increments) resulting in a total possible performance period of five (5) years. The Request for Proposals will be a full and open competition. Solicitation: The solicitation DTHN22-10-R-00336 will be available for downloading from http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ on or about June 1, 2010. Questions regarding this synopsis must be submitted in writing via e-mail to NHTSAOAM@dot.gov, no later than May 20, 2010. The anticipated award date for this resultant contract is expected on or about July 20, 2010.
