Description
The US Army Contracting Command, Joint Munitions and Lethality Contracting Center, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, on behalf of the U.S Army Armament Research Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC), is seeking sources for the processing of inert material via a Shear Roll Milling (SRM) and/or a SRM/Twin Screw Extruding (TSE) combination through a continuous process. The desired final configuration for the SRM/TSE process is a 19-perforated circular grain. The desired configuration for the only the SRM process would be inert pellets. The inert ingredients shall be cellulose acetate (CA), linter, triacetin (TA), and diphenyl amine (DPA) (or ethyl centralite (EC)). The formulation would be provided by the U.S. Government. Respondents shall specify provide/identify the following information: Current manufacturing capabilities utilizing the SRM process and quantitiesCurrent manufacturing capabilities utilizing a combination SRM/TSE process and quantitiesCurrent production utilizing a SRM and/or SRM/TSE process and output Firms/companies are invited to indicate their capabilities by providing specifications, brochures, manuals, reports, demonstration video and other technical data as well as identification of current customers. All data should be sent at no cost to the US Government no later than May 21, 2010 to the US Army ARDEC. ATTN: Pamela Penaherrera Bldg 10 Picatinny, NJ 07866-5000, email: pam.penaherrera@us.army.mil. The Government will accept written questions by email. This is a market survey to be used for informational planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal (RFP), nor is the Government obligated to issue an RFP. The US Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for information solicited. The government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey.
