- Description
- The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission to Pakistan is seeking proposals from qualified organizations to provide and perform design review, fabrication, installation and commissioning of FE/BR 15 minute safe area containers for an unclassified office building and provide a 25-KVA hardened generator, necessary to provide fully functional safe area office spaces for the USAID Office at the Embassy Compound. This Forced Entry/Blast Resistant (FE/BR) modular office structure will provide a 15 minute safe area for Embassy staff in Islamabad, Pakistan. The building must meet Department of State (DOS), Overseas Security Policy Board (OSPB) standards for unclassified offices and OBO building and construction standards. Design and installation must be Zone 4 seismic requirements. The base period of performance for this contract is 180 days. This contract is expected to be awarded not later than June 1, 2010. This procurement will be conducted under full and open competition, pursuant to Part 12 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) (48 CFR Chapter 1). All types of organizations are eligible to compete. The contractor must be DS certified. In accordance with FAR 5.102(d) availability of the solicitation is limited to this electronic medium only. Issuance of this solicitation does not in any way obligate the U.S. Government to award a contract nor does it commit the U.S. Government to pay for costs incurred in the preparation and submission of a proposal. Furthermore, the Government reserves the right to reject any and all offers, if such action is considered to be in the best interest of the U.S. Government. USAID anticipates award of one contract under this solicitations.
