Description
The VA Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System has a requirement for refuse collection and disposal at the Biloxi MS VA Medical Center. The contractor will provide all labor, supervision, management, equipment, transportation and other required supplies and services necessary to perform solid waste collection and disposal at the specified location. The anticipated period of performance is from October 1, 2010 through September 30, 2011, with four one-year option periods. It is anticipated the contractor will provide and maintain a variety of containers, such as 8-yard containers with compactors, 8-yard side load, 30-yard open tops and 40-yard with compactor. Scheduled and as-needed collections are anticipated. The applicable NAICS code for this procurement is 562111, Solid Waste Collection. The small business size standard is $12.5 million.This procurement is 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. Offers will be accepted only from Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned small business concerns, as defined in subpart 19.14 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. For service contracts set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, at least 50% of the cost of personnel for contract performance must be spent on employees of the SDVOSB concern or other SDVOSB concerns. Offerors should be prepared to demonstrate how this requirement will be met, as meeting this requirement may be evaluated in determining the successful offeror. To be eligible for award of a contract, vendors must be actively registered in the VetBiz registry and Central Contractor registration (CCR) database. No further documents are available at this time. The anticipated release date of the solicitation is on or about May 26, 2010.
