- DESCRIPTION: PR 0025592154, 5963-01-543-3619. Approved source(s): Kidde Technologies Inc (05BU0) Part Number 421884. The requirement is for 1100 each to be delivered to New Cumberland, PA (W25G1U) within 90 days. All responsible sources may submit an offer/quote which shall be considered. This solicitation is an RFQ issued under FAR Part 13.5 and will be available on the Internet at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil on its issue date of April 26, 2010. Hard copies of this solicitation are NOT available. This is an unrestricted procurement. Specifications, plans or drawings are not available. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete, unrestrictive technical data; therefore, the Government intends to solicit and contract with only approved sources under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Approved source is: Kidde Technologies Inc (05BU0) Part Number 421884. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. Based upon market research, the Government is using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, as well as policies contained in Part 13.5 in its solicitation for the described supplies. Because this has been determined as a commercial item, and because of high priority backorders, this procurement is being issued concurrently with the synopsis.
