Description
Del-Jen, Inc a Fluor Company is soliciting bids from a qualified vendor to provide an upgrade and new Fire Alarm System per Statement of Work (SOW) below. All work will be performed at the Albuquerque Job Corps Center (AJCC) in New Mexico. Albuquerque Job Corps is a national training and employment program under contract to the U.S. Department of Labor. The center provides academic education, vocational training, and all related services to young adults between the ages of 16-24. Qualified supplier will provide material, labor, equipment, and removal of debris needed to perform the following scope of work. Contractor will clean area of the job related debris daily to ensure a clean job site and safety concerns. A Turn key operation is required and bids will be submitted NLT May 18, 2010 5 PM Mountain time. Contractor will provide warranty for equipment and work performed. All work to be accomplished in accordance with Davis Bacon Act and comply with Job Corps center rules and policies. Supplier will also provide proof of Certificate of Liability insurance if required. The upgrade and new install of the Siemens Pyrotronics MMX fire alarm system requires the same system currently using at AJCC. Contractor will separate existing fire system and make seven (7) separate stand alone fire systems on campus. This will be using existing panel locations. Each fire alarm system will hook-up to existing fire alarm devices in each location. Upon separation of system 3 of the 7 systems contractor will have new main mother boards to control the building it is monitoring. Contractor will have 30 days to complete upgrade and new install. Existing Fire Alarm System: 1. Administration - MXL 2. CDC- CP-400 3. Student Training- CP-400 4. Maintenance- CP-400 5. Dormitory- PRS-Sub system 6. Vocational- PRS-Sub system 7. Charter School-PRS-Sub system New Fire Alarm System: 1.Administration – MXL 2.CDC – CP-400 3.Student Training – CP-400 4.Maintenance –CcP-400 5.Dormitory – MXL 6. Vocational – MXL 7.Charter School – MXL This will be seven (7) stand alone systems after upgrade and install of new systems. Reconfigure and reprogramming of existing fire systems for stand alone function. Safe of and re-route existing service. Provide and install; Lot fire alarm panels, head end equipment as necessary for seven (7) stand alone systems, Lot wire (free wire above ceiling), Lot fire alarm device installation, Lot pre-testing, Lot testing and final systems testing with fire department as required. Three (3) New fire alarm panels boards – stand alone with eight (8) miscellaneous devices. Contractor will provide material, programming, termination of field devices, and final fire test. A walk thru is recommended at the suppliers convenience. Walk thru appointments will be made thru Mr. Ed Espinosa, Maintenance Manager at 505/366-1249. Small local businesses are encouraged to bid. C)Government funded facility and tax exempt. NTTC will be issued once awarded. D)Safety Standards apply: a.Meet all applicable federal, state and local environmental, health and safety regulations and specific Del-Jen requirements b.Contractor’s safety plan along with compliance to Del-Jen safety plan. c.Contractor should have a written injury and illness Prevention Plan for employees that documents the job safety and health requirements and to make sure all employees are trained in these requirement
