- Description
- The Department of State is conducting market research to determine the degree of interest and capability of American Small Businesses ONLY in providing services to assist the US Embassy Afghanistan, Public Affairs Section with the implementation of strategic communication initiatives in Afghanistan. The vendor shall furnish the technical expertise and program manger services in all areas of communications media, TV and Radio broadcasting, journalism, entertainment programming, and other strategic communication initiatives. The vendor will assist with the selection of Afghan vendors, conducting due diligence on prospective firms, manage competitions, and provide technical assistance for the oversight of these programs. They shall serve as an implementer, manager, and mentor to Afghanistan firms in the production of the deliverables rather than itself perform the specific work. The vendor will assist with the development of ideas and concepts into projects, oversight, and management of Grants and Contracts awarded to other firms. The vendor will have experience in international program management and implementation of US foreign assistance of multimillion-dollar budgets. The vendor’s staff will have experience in program management, Afghan culture and languages, and all facets of media and journalism to include TV and Radio broadcasting, script writing and production, directing and development of commercial quality productions. The vendor’s core staff is expected to spend a considerable amount of time living and working in Afghanistan, engaging with Embassy officials and Afghan media. The vendor should be able to provide three (3) references of similar assignments for other clients and expound on the services provided to each client. Further, vendor will include the name of the project; its location; general description of services, name, address and phone number of the client, budget and date of services provided.
