- SOURCES SOUGHT HSCG38-10-S-010004 ATTACHMENT: HC-144A Aircraft Component List HSCG38-10-S-010004 SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE This is not a request for proposals. This synopsis is for information, planning and market research purposes only. This is not a solicitation announcement and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. Small and disadvantaged businesses are encouraged to provide input. BACKGROUND: The U.S. Coast Guard Medium Range Surveillance Maritime Patrol Aircraft (HC-144A) is a transport and surveillance aircraft that is used to perform search and rescue, enforce laws and treaties including illegal drug interdiction, marine environmental protection, military readiness, and international ice patrol missions. This aircraft is manufactured by Airbus Military, formerly Construcciones Aeronáutica Sociedad Anónima (CASA), in Spain. The United States Coast Guard (USCG) currently operates eight (8) CASA HC-144A aircraft powered by General Electric CT7-9C3 turboprop engines. SYNOPSIS: USCG, Aviation Logistics Center (ALC), Elizabeth City, NC is seeking alternate sources that can provide any or all of the spare component items listed in the attachment. All items shall be new condition. The part numbers identified are authorized by the aircraft original equipment manufacturer (OEM) thus alternate items cannot be considered. The USCG does not have knowledge of the OEM's for each component items. All possible sources must provide traceability to the component or aircraft (OEM). Drawings or specifications are not available, and cannot be furnished by the Government. All companies that can provide the items are encouraged to provide a capability statement, company cage code, brochures, or any other information demonstrating that the items can be provided. This notice is to assist the USCG in determining potential sources only. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award. Reimbursement will not be made for any costs associated with providing information to this sources sought. All interested parties must respond to any subsequent solicitation notice published on the Federal Business Opportunities website, www.fbo.gov.
