Description
This is sources sought notice only for information and planning purposes and not a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is for Market Research to gain knowledge of potential qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Businesses, 8(a) Hub-Zone and other interested small business concerns capable of performing this requirement. Description: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Long Beach Healthcare System and VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare system located in California requires a Medical Radiation Physics services. The physicist must have knowledge of intensity Modulated Radiation therapy (IMRT),Stereotactic Radio surgery (SRS), and dose distributions to effectively treat cancer while minimizing the radiation dose to healthy tissues utilizing the Phillips ADAC, Varian Eclipse, and Brain Lab Ibox computer treatment planning hardware and software. The contract physicist will participate in the Novalis TX and its SRS equipment physics quality assurance and the Novalis TX ancillary equipment such as the on Board Imager (OBI), and Brain Lab equipment and related physics procedures. In addition, commissioning of a new treatment machine for additional modalities, plus the computer treatment radiation beam data collection and beam modeling are necessary to be done in conjunction with VA Staff. The work hours will be varied approximately 20 hours per week as required basis. The NAICS code is 621999 and the size standard is $10 Mil.
