- Description
- RFP-9083-FDLP The U. S. Government Printing Office (GPO), Library Services Content Management (LSCM), has a requirement to transfer to the National Archives (NARA) a copy of every document that GPO has distributed in physical format to Federal Depository Libraries for each fiscal year. Between 2004 and 2009, there are approximately 32,000 documents (paper documents, microfiche, and maps) ready to be prepared for transfer to NARA. All work by contractor must be performed in a clean, secure work environment with room temperature no hotter than 75 degrees. All documents must be able to be kept clean and secure. Contractor shall unbox, sort, and interfile every publication (approximately 32,000 documents altogether) that were distributed by GPO dating from FY2004 to FY2009 in Paper/hardcopy format (Hardcopy), first generation silver microfiche (MF) format (Silvers) and diazo MF format (Diazos). There will be 11 pallets containing approximately 440 boxes of paper documents (at approximately 50 books per box). Each pallet will have a "designated year of distribution" attached to it. A twelfth pallet will contain approximately 10 boxes of Silver microfiche, and a thirteenth pallet will contain approximately 10 boxes of diazo microfiche. There is an estimate of approximately 500 MF per each full MF container box. All of these publications must be sorted and interfiled according to the "Filing Rules for SuDocs Classification Numbers" (See Supplement). There will be a separate sort for each year that paper documents were distributed (one for 2004, one for 2005, etc). Microfiche will be filed without deference to date of distribution; one sort will be for "Silver" microfiche, and one for "Diazo" microfiche.
