Description
Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Erie PA Statement of Work The items to be procured are as follows: "2 - Ultima XE Gas Monitors: XP E 00-U-1-S00000100 "1 - Gasgard Series Gas Monitor: 1002991 Evaluation for the items will occur on a brand name or equal basis. The Erie VAMC is currently using Ultima X and Gasgard Series Monitors. In order to maximize staff and patient safety, there must be consistency in safety procedures. This can be ensured by using equipment that has the same response, operational, and maintenance processes. Potential contractors may quote items that are brand name or equal. If quoting a substitute item, contractors must show how the substitute meets the following salient characteristics: 1.Alarm signal, response process, maintenance, operational techniques, and trouble shooting for the substituted item must be the same as that of the monitors listed above. 2.The monitors must work/interface with the current Gasgard Series Gas Monitor System, which the Erie VAMC is already using. One carbon monoxide monitor will be installed at the Boiler Plant Cat Walk. The other carbon monoxide monitor and Gasgard Series monitor will be installed in the Building 7 Generator Room. Term of the contract - Contractor has 30 days from date of award to complete the project. Work Hours - Work will be done on first shift, during the regular 5 day work week between the hours of 0800 and 1630. Any after hours work must be mutually agreed upon and approved by an Erie VAMC Contracting Officer. Prior to start of contract, the contractor shall submit a list of names of all contract employees that will be working on the project. Warranty: The warranty shall be 1 year from the end of the construction date.
