The work of task 088-R will be to provide systemsengineering and system integration to demonstrate a real-time airborne science datanetwork that creates the potential for mission scientists to monitor and direct multipleplatforms (Manned and Unmanned Aircraft Systems or UASs) interactively while observingthe data as it is acquired during an experiment. The Aviation Systems Division iscoordinating this Earth Science Program research for Ames. The product of this task willbe a prototype aircraft data network that can be used to transfer instrument data in nearreal-time from aircraft, satellites, and the ground. The Aligned Research Program workcovered by this award is entitled, Feasibility of Airborne Data Processing. This award notice is for INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The task order is issued under anexisting Cost-Plus-Award-Fee contract NAS2-03144, which was made on a competitive basis.Due to the variability of this research and development work, a Cost-Plus-Award-Fee taskorder was determined appropriate.
