All deteriorated or unsound concrete surfaces shall be sounded and repaired with shotcrete on the east spillway retaining wall of the spillway approach channel, the east and west inlet channel retaining walls, and the east and west retaining walls and the center walls of the outlet channel stilling basin. Concrete surfaces shall be sounded a minimum of one foot beyond all edges of visually inspected deteriorated areas. Sawcut and remove all areas of unsound concrete, a minimum of 1 deep. Apply shotcrete. Upon completion of shotcrete application, all vertical and horizontal joints shall be re-established by sawcutting or tooling, or similarly approved method. Additionally, deteriorated and unsound concrete patches on the crest of the spillway weir (at locations of rock anchors) shall be repaired using portland cement concrete. Interested firms should submit a capabilities package to include the following: business classification (i.e. HUBZone, etc.) as well as qualifications of the team and experience in performing the work requirements stated above. Please include a specific example of concrete repair work and shotcreting including certified nozzlemen for the application of shotcrete.
