- A MARKET SURVEY is being conducted to determine if there are adequate Small Business, HUBZone, 8(a), or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors for the following proposed project: A MARKET SURVEY is being conducted to determine if there are adequate contractors for this proposed Design-Build project which meet the specific criteria for a competitive set-aside award. Project Location including county. Danbury, Fairfield County, Connecticut Project will provide for the new construction of a Armed Forces Training Building (approximately 113,000SF), Unheated Storage Building (approximately 5,000 SF), Vehicle Maintenance Shop (approximately 27,000SF), parking lots and all necessary supporting utilities. The training building will provide administrative, educational, assembly, library, learning center, vault, weapons simulator, and physical fitness areas for the Army Reserve and Connecticut Army National Guard. The maintenance shop will provide work bays and maintenance administrative support. The project will also provide adequate parking space for all military and privately-owned vehicles. The Construction Contract Cost Limit (CCCL) for the Base Bid is between $25 M to $100 M. Sentence describing projects considered similar to this project are...... Past Experience Provide descriptions your firms experience on projects with greater than 90% construction complete or those projects completed within the last five years which are similar to this project in size, scope, and dollar value. Projects considered similar in scope to this project include new construction of: national guard armories, army reserve centers, armed forces training centers, office complexes, education facilities, vehicle maintenance shops, and multi-story/multi purpose complexes. Projects similar in size will include new construction projects with a single building or multiple buildings with a combined total of 75,000 SF. Projects of similar dollar value will be new construction projects with an original contract amount in excess of $25M. With each project experience provided, include current percentage of construction complete and the date when it was or will be completed. For each project submitted include the original contract amount, modification costs, and size of the project (stories, SF, etc.), any mentor protg relationships, the portion and percentage of work that was self performed, whether the project was design/build or not, and a description of how the experience relates to the proposed project. All interested contractors should notify this office by email by June 14, 2010, 2:00 PM Louisville local time. NOTE: If qualified/certified Small Businesses do not respond, this planned contract action will be converted to a full and open competition.
