Description
The US Army Contracting Center intends to negotiate a sole-source contract with the approved source Bell Helicopter Textron, Incorporated (BHTI), PO Box 482, Fort Worth, Texas 76101, Cage Code is 97499 for the purchase and delivery of four (4) UH-1H, Huey II aircraft in the Bell Helicopter speculative build configuration. The contractor shall provide Bell UH-1H, Huey II standard and non-standard spare parts which shall comply with mandatory Airworthiness Directives (AD) and Service Bulletins (SB) issued at the time of parts delivery. The contractor shall provide Bell UH-1H, Huey II tools, test and support equipment. The contractor shall provide a maintenance team consisting of one (1) avionics/electrical mechanic, two (2) general aviation mechanics and a Maintenance Test Pilot. The three (3) mechanics shall be A&P Licensed mechanics with a combined minimum of ten (10) years experience on Bell 204, 205, 212, Huey II and 412 Series Bell Helicopters. The contractor shall provide a pilot/maintenance test pilot who is qualified and current in the UH-1H Huey II aircraft. The contractor shall provide a fully qualified Contract Field Service Representative in support of the Bell UH-1H Huey II Helicopters within the country of Yemen. The contractor shall provide pilot and maintenance training at the Bell Helicopter Training facilities located within the United States. The period of performance is from date of contract award through 30 September 2011. The proposed type of contract is Firm Fixed Price. Authority cited is 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1. Only one source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Interested firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for this or future solicitations by submitting documentation in accordance with the Competition Advocates Shopping List (CASL) Procedures at the following website: http://www.redstone.army.mil/com. All responsible sources may submit offers that may be considered by the agency. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted depending on the release date of the solicitation. Telephone request for proposals will not be accepted.
