Description
The USDA Forest Service, Gifford Pinchot National Forest, intends to acquire by contract the supply and installation of a new electrical shunt reactor to replace an existing 25 KV 300 KVAR shunt reactor. The project work will include the supply and installation of a new electrical shunt reactor fabricated to meet the requirements of the furnished design (to be included with the solicitation when issued) and the removal and disposal of the existing reactor. The project is located within the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, on the Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument. The project site is located in Toutle, Washington, along State Route 504 at Mile Post 24.2 A solicitation for this project work will be made available on this web site on or about June 18, 2010. The anticipated period for performance will be 120 days from issuance of a Notice to Proceed, which will be issued on or about July 30, 2010. This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for Small Business concerns. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 335311 with a applicable small business size standard of 750 employees. Offerors will be evaluated on price, experience and past performance. A single contract will be awarded to the offeror whose proposal, conforming to the solicitation, is the best value to the government. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on the part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award.
