Description
The Department of the Interior Bureau of Indian Affairs, Navajo Region Office, Division of Acquisition Opertations, has a requirement to inspect approximately seventy-five (75) BIA Boilers and pressure vessels. Boilers and pressure vessels are located at BIA & Grant Schools located throughout the states of New Mexico, Utah and Arizona. The provider will be required to perform external inspections to meet American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) standards and be certified to inspect under the National Board Inspection Code (NBIC) and BIA criteria. Inspections shall be done on an annual basis and inspection reports provided to the BIA representative. This is a presolicitation notice for Boiler Inspection Services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The Request for Quote (RFQ) can be requested. This solicitation, RMN0010126, is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) under FAR 13.5. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition 2005-11. The North American Industry classification (NAICS) code is 541350 and the business size maximum is $7.0 million. The government intends to award a firm-fixed price service contract for this requirement. The solicitation is for one base year period and four one-year option periods. The proposed contract is set-aside for small businesses in accordance with FAR 19.5. To be considered responsive contractors must provide a price for the base period and Option Periods one (1) through four (4). Contractor shall provide a summary sheet detailing how the unit price was arrived at. Estimated Quantities - The quantities shown in the schedule have been estimated to establish a basis of evaluating proposals for the purpose of award and are not intended to reflect exact quantities. Exact quantities cannot be ascertained in advance. The quantities in the schedule may be increased or decreased according to actual need. The Government is obligated to pay for only actual quantities performed. BASE PERIOD - August 1, 2010 through July 31, 2011.OPTION 1 - August 1, 2011 through July 31, 2012. OPTION 2 - August 1, 2012 through July 31, 2013.OPTION 3 - August 1, 2013 through July 31, 2014. OPTION 4 - August 1, 2014 through July 31, 2015.
