Description
The U.S. Department of Energy, Southwestern Power Administration(Southwestern) is seeking proposals to furnish, deliver and install one (1) autotransformer at the US Army Corps of Engineers Table Rock Substation, located approximately 2 miles south of intersection of highways 265 and 165 in Taney County, Branson Missouri 65616; and an option for one (1) autotransformer at Southwesterns Springfield Substation, located 2858 South Golden, Springfield Missouri 65807. The Table Rock autotransformer shall be of the outdoor, core form, three-phase, 60 Hertz, two-winding, oil-immersed type, self- and forced-cooled, Class ONAN/ONAF/ONAF, rated at 60000/80000/100000 kVA. The Springfield autotransformer shall be of the outdoor, core form, three-phase, 60 Hertz, two-winding, oil-immersed type, self- and forced-cooled, Class ONAN/ONAF/ONAF, rated at 75000/100000/1250000 kVA. As part of the installation the contractor shall be required to remove and temporarily store the existing autotransformers on Government property; and, set, completely assemble, install, fill with oil, connect, field test, and place the new autotransformers in complete readiness for operation immediately after delivery. This solicitation will be issued as a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The applicable North American Industry Classification System code for this acquisition is 423610 and the small business size standard is 100 employees (the applicable size standard for a small business offering a product it itself did not manufacture is 500 employees). The solicitation will be available on or about June 21, 2010, with proposals being due on or about July 21, 2010. It is the intent of Southwestern to award a single, firm fixed-price purchase order for this acquisition.
