Description
THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. This project shall be awarded as a Delivery Order against a FSS/GSA contract. A sources sought announcement was issued on GSAdvantage eBUY seeking potential vendors as well as directed to 74 vendors who specialize in Security System sales and installation. We received two responses, one from a large business and one from a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB). By directive Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Health Care and Information Technology Act of 2006, projects shall be set aside for Service Diabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses or Veteran Owned Small Businesses whenever possible. Therfore, it is our intention to solicite a proposal from the one Veteran Owned Small Business that responded to our Source Sought annoucement. Project Scope of Work: This project includes a campus/station wide access control system including but not limited to cardkey controllers, door controllers, power supplies, proximity card readers, magnetic locks, installation brackets, electric strikes, request to exit motion detectors, egress push buttons and key switches. The work shall involve cutting and patching existing wall surfaces, steel studs, hollow metal frames, wood doors, plywood, painting, electrical work, fiber communications, fire alarm integration, and integrating and networking the new system into the existing Johnson Control access control system installed in the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Hot Springs, South Dakota. The new system shall be completely compatible with Johnson Controls equipment currently on hand, and Johnson Controls shall provide technical installation support, system check-out, and on-site system training.
