Description
This is a notice of the Government's intent to increase the contract dollar value for the current Internet-Based Contractor Operated Parts Store (ICOPARS) contract number contract FA4803-06-D-0002. The current contract ceiling is $50M and current amount obligated is $46M. The contract will enter the fourth and final option year on 9 June 10. The average expenditure rate is $1.1M a month. This amount will fill the requirement for three and a half months. The reacquisition for this requirement is currently in the planning phase. The estimated time for reacquisition is between six to eight months. This is a Firm-Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery-Requirements contract. The reacquisition will be competitive. The requirement to raise the ceiling by $10M, making the ceiling to $60M, is needed due to the burn rate and will allow adequate time to re-compete the requirement to ensure that the Government receives the best-value. This is neither a Request for Proposal nor a solicitation of offers. A determination by the Government not to compete the ceiling threshold increase requirement is solely within the Government's discretion. Information received by close of business 11 June 2010 will be considered by the Government solely for the purpose of market research when conducting the reacquisition of the new ICOPARS requirement.
