Description
The FAA is seeking qualified, experienced, contractors to Fabricate an eighty - seven (87) foot tower for an ASR-9 facility, Du Ppage Airport, West Chicago, Illinois. Prospective contractor must be able to demonstrate possessing previous experience in fabricating and manufacturing this type of tower. Contractor is to fabricate a complete 87' tall structural streel freestanding ASR-9 tower, consisting of seven(7) ten (10) foot sections and one (1) seventeen (17) foot tower sections. All parts to be hot dipped galvanized steel, including the anchor bolts. Include erection/installation drawings for the tower and the tower materials options. Delivery schedule: Foundation bolts and template on site by September 15,2010. Structural Tower materials delviery on Octoer 1, 2010. NAISC code is 332312 The offer range is between $250,000.00 to $500,000.00. Interested firms should submit a letter of interest via fax (847-294-8050) or e-mail (Guadalupe.Gonzalez@faa.gov). This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT short Term receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
