- SOLICITATION for CONSTRUCTION Replace and install two 30 hp Allen-Bradley Variable Frequency Speed Drives, Memphis SSC, Memphis, Tennessee. The work includes, but is not limited to, repair Air Handler 202 and 203 by replacing two non-working Square D Variable Frequency Speed Drives and installing two 30 hp Allen-Bradley Variable Frequency Speed Drives. Estimated performance time: 10 calendar days. Estimated price range): $10,000.00 to $20,000.00Due date for offers: June 21, 2010, 4:00 pm.Estimated start date for project: June/July 2010 This requirement is offered to as a full and open competition, to all qualified, responsive concerns. Offers will be considered using a tiered order of precedence. (1st - 8(a) certified small businesses, 2nd - Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, and all other Small Businesses, 3rd - Large Businesses.) Each tier will be evaluated using the procedure outlined in Section M. A determination of insufficient competition or unreasonable price will be made before the next tier is evaluated. Directions on the tiered evaluation are in Section M of the solicitation. The NAICS code for the acquisition is 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors and the small business size standard for this code is $14,000,000.00. To be considered by award of this project, the contractor must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database (website: ww.ccr.gov). This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
