- Packaging and Delivery Intent to Propose Statement of Work Solicitation The Request for Proposals (RFP) described below is now available. The National Cancer Institute (NCI) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) plans to expand the capabilities of the current PRO-CTCAE system and to build a body of knowledge and evidence to support the implementation of the PRO-CTCAE system in multi-site clinical research studies supported by NCI. The three primary objectives of the contract will be to: 1) increase accessibility of the PRO-CTCAE system for cancer patients and researchers; 2) conduct a feasibility study in NCI clinical trial networks; and 3) evaluate shared (patient-clinician) and stand-alone (patient only) models for symptoms Adverse Event reporting. This is a Presolicitation Notice in advance of a Request for Proposal (PFP), and the Government is not committed to award a contract pursuant to this announcement. The RFP, No. HHS-NIH-NCI-PCPSB-5027-29, detailing the specifics of the project as well as information pertinent to the development of an offeror’s proposal will be available electronically on or about June 8, 2010 and may be accessed through the Internet at the following URL location: (http://rcb.nci.nih.gov/); once there, click on Current Requests for Proposals and will be posted to Federal Business Opportunities website at: http://www.fedbizopps.gov under the National Cancer Institute posting section. No paper copies will be available. Proposals will be due on or about July 8, 2010. It is anticipated that one cost-reimbursement contract award will be made for a period of five years beginning on or about September 30, 2010. Offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments and for routinely checking the Internet site for any possible solicitation amendments that may be issued by the Government. This advertisement does not commit the Government to award a contract.
