- Request for Information Web Analytics Software Requirements This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government. This notice is intended strictly for market research. Please reference "Web Analytics" when responding to this announcement. The Social Security Administration's (SSA) web analytics project is seeking sources capable of providing a robust software package that can collect, summarize, and report on SSA's Internet, Intranet, and Extranet activities. With this Request for Information (RFI) SSA is attempting to identify responsible vendors who can enhance SSA's current web analytics capabilities. • Minimum Mandatory Requirements: 1. Vendor offers an in-house solution. 2. Solution must be 508 compliant. 3. Solution must be IPv6 compliant. 4. Software must not use an ActiveX component. 5. Capability to comply with government security and PII requirements. 6. Capability to analyze Internet, Intranet, and Extranet websites. 7. Capability to process web server logs up to 2GB in size. 8. Capability to summarize a daily load of 30,000,000 page views in 8 hours. Scalable within two years to summarize a daily load of 40,000,000 page views in 8 hours. 9. Capability to process compressed web server logs including.gz and.zip formats without uncompressing. 10. Capability to process W3C compliant, Domino, Apache, or IIS web server logs. 11. Capability to process out of order web server logs. 12. Data stored in such a manner that changes or updates to profiles, report, queries, or scenarios do not require the reprocessing of the raw web server logs. 13. Capability to collect/process raw data from web server logs. 14. Capability to collect/process data from a page tagging type technology. 15. Capability to automatically use an FTP client to retrieve web server logs. 16. Capability to track sessions via IP address, Cookie, or specialized parameters. 17. Capability to handle all types of Cookies. 18. Capability to track a visitor's session across multiple domains. 19. Capability to perform multiple types of scenario analysis. 20. Capability to identify which application page and field on that page where the visitor abandoned the application. 21. Capability to report the amount of time a visitor spends on each application page and on each field of that application page. 22. End-user interface is a web based interface (IE7 or higher). 23. Administrative interface is a web based interface (IE7 or higher). 24. End-user training available via vendor classes, web based tutorials, or third party vendor. 25. Administrator training available via vendor classes, web based tutorials, or third party vendor. 26. Developer training available via vendor classes, web based tutorials, or third party vendor. 27. Help tutorials for end-users, administrators, and developers. 28. End-user access via O/S and/or software authentication. 29. Tiered permission levels, which can be granted to individual end-user, group, or role for each profile, report, or action (create, edit, delete). 30. Provides end-users with a GUI (Graphical User Interface) to create, edit, delete, and process the following: • Profiles • Filters • Data Sources • Custom reports • Custom templates • Custom dashboards • Custom queries • Custom search results • Ad- Hoc reports 31. Provides individual end-users with a method to save favorite queries, searches, and reports. 32. Capability for end-users to configure charts. 33. Standard reporting periods are hours, days, weeks, months, quarters, and years. 34. Custom reporting periods by hours, days, weeks, months, quarters, and years. 35. Comparative date range reporting periods by hours, days, weeks, months, quarters, and years. 36. Capability to adjust summarized data retention periods both globally and per profile. 37. Capability to report the average time a webpage was viewed. 38. Capability to report the average time to serve a webpage. 39. Capability to generate the following types of reports: • Page View usage • Page reports with URLs and page titles • VisitVisitor usage • Bandwidth usage • Hit usage • Server error • Client error • Referrers • Path Analysis • URL Rebuilding • URL Parameters • Scenario Analysis • Keyword Searches 40. Capability to calculate a new custom dimension from any of the software's available dimensions. 41. Capability to provide reports based on the visitors geographical location. 42. Capability to report on dynamically generated page elements such as ColdFusion or Ajax. 43. Capability to report how often a link on a page is clicked. 44. Capability to report Adobe Flash component actions. 45. Capability to log changes for profiles, reports, and configuration settings. 46. 24/7 Tech support via phone. 47. Ability to run all software, or any piece of the software, on the Solaris operating system (version 10 or above). 48. Ability to run all software, or any piece of the software, on the Windows Server operating system (2003, 2008, and future versions). 49. Capability to backup the following: • Configuration settings • Profiles • Stored reports • Databases 50. Capability to export reports via the following methods: • E-mail • Excel • PDF • Word • HTML • Database 51. Capability to schedule the automatic export of reports. 52. Capability to access summarized data via vendor provided ODBC, JDBC, or API drivers. 53. Migration path for existing WebTrends version 8.5 data. 54. Capability to define page types globally or per profile. 55. Capability to provide onsite installation, debugging, and customization. • Desired Features: 1. Vendor hosted solution that is compatible to the in house solution. 2. Capability to track authenticated users. 3. Optional workspace to store individual end-users queries, reports, and searches. • Questions: 1. What are the possible environment configurations? 2. What are the minimum hardware requirements? 3. Which O/S platforms does your product support? 4. What is the licensing model? 5. What is the maintenance/support model? 6. What schemas does the software use to report SharePoint web activity? 7. Are there any other access permission levels used by the tool? 8. Is the product available on a GSA or SEWP? Vendors having the capability to meet the above minimum mandatory requirements are invited to submit complete details of their solution. The responses must include answers to our questions and clearly state how the solution provides the capability to meet our mandatory requirements. Sources must sufficiently demonstrate the capability to meet these requirements and must provide detailed experience and qualifications in all previous work pertinent to this effort. This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this synopsis and submittals will not be returned to the sender. The information requested must be received no later than 4:30 pm Eastern Standard Time on 29 June 2010.
