Description
This is a Sources Sought Notice and is for information purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS OR BIDS. The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, requests capability statements from 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses and HubZone businesses concerning the potential project described as follows: The contractor will need to have delivered to the site stone (granite) free of debris. The stone will be placed mechanically into designated areas. Placement will involve the creation of mounds of material and will need precise placement and accurate positioning and verification of the correct locations and configurations. The job will need pre and post surveys to be performed by the contractor in sufficient detail to confirm placement. Material will be placed at least to the minus 10 foot contour and probably deeper. Tens of thousands of cubic yards may have to be placed. The work shall be completed within approximate 50 calendar days from receipt of notice to proceed. This is a construction project only. Interested 8(a), SDVOB and HubZone certified firms with single bonding capacity to support this project (between $500,000 and $1,000,000) should submit capability statements to include the following information: details of similar projects, dates of construction, project references (including owner with phone number and email address) and project cost and provide evidence for bonding this project. Responses to this sources sought announcement will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decision, but otherwise will be held in strict confidence. NO SOLICITATION IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. General Information: Responses are to be sent to Regina.M.Wheeler@usace.army.mil or hard copy to U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, P. O. Box 1715, Room 7000, Baltimore, MD 21203-1715 no later than 3:00 p.m. eastern standard time, 23 June 2010. Email responses are preferred.
