Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial supplies and services prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 and Far Part 13 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is being issued as Request for Quote#VA-246-10-RQ-0488. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the most recent Federal Acquisition Circular. The NAICS Code is 333294. The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Salem, Virginia has a requirement for a Bulk Rethermalization/Refrigerator mobile host/hostess carts and intends to solicit quotes and award a firm fixed price contract. The contractor shall provide (2) EA Bulk Rethermalization/Refrigerator Mobile Host/Hostess Carts that supports eight each 12'x20'x2.5' food service pans at one time during refrigeration and rethermalization modes. The system shall: have a HACCP compliant data logging system attached on the top of the cart compatible with a software package to store data on a personal computer. Have a noise rating no greater than 60 DB. Have a 208v three phase, 60 amp power requirement for retherm operation. Have a 120 volt power adapter that supports power to the HACCP controller, heated service top control panel, lights and refrigeration without the main 208v power supply. Have two sections that support refrigeration and rethermalization modes. Have a 1HP refrigeration compressor to support adequate refrigeration. Have a heated top serving section with temperature probes linked to a HACCP compliant program. Have a reprogrammable access card that accesses programming features of the module. Have a fully programmable heating, cooling and holding module that allows for automatic start, stop and hold modes. (2) EA -the cart shall either through standard version or options available: have fully welded construction built of 16 or 18 gauge, 304 stainless steel. Have a heated service area on the top that supports four 12'x20' food service pans, and maintains a minimum of 145 degrees fahrenheit of foods in the service area, through heated top surface and heat lamps. Have a six wheeled bas with two fixed wheels in the center and four turning wheels on the perimeter allowing for a zero degree turn radius. Have a tubular stainless steel tray slide area on the front of the cart. Have an unloaded weight of no greater than 375 pounds. Have eight wire rack shelving slots in each cabinet to allow for maximum shelving configuration options. Have a see-through sneeze guard. Have a rail on the hot service top that contains pans safely. (2) EA supporting service carts for the bulk rethermalization host carts. The cart shall either through standard version or options available: be constructed of fully welded stainless steel. Have a six wheeled base with two fixed wheels in the center and four turning wheels on the perimeter. Be fully open at the bottom service side, i.e, no doors. Have a drain hole in each section to facilitate cleaning. Have matching color panels of the color of the rethermalization host carton the exterior. Have a 120v electrical outlet. Have capacity to accept standard dish-machine racks below the service area that slides and holds dish rack level while pulled out. The following provisions apply to this solicitation: 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal, 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial, Commercial Advertising, 852.271-70, 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial, including clauses incorporated by reference under Section b(1)(5)(11-16)(23-24). Bidders are to submit pricing. Process of determining contract award: award will be to the responsive, responsible bidder who can provide the product listed above or equal. Information on an alternative product should be specific, concise, and complete and provide sufficient information to demonstrate the product's capacity to meet or exceed the requirements. The information required in provisions 52.212-1, 52.212-2 and a completed copy of provisions 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications are to be provided with the quote.
