It would be helpful to have a copy of the recent study done by PCW. I suspect it may be available under the freedom of information act. Could you please determine if and how I can get a copy?A formal request can be made through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request directed to Region Director, Pacific West Region, 1111 Jackson Avenue, Suite 700, Oakland, CA 94607. For your reference studies of this nature are exempt from FOIA because they are pre-decisional documents.12 Do you think the Clinic would remain a Service contract if urgent care does not allow returning patients from the community or workers comp? Wont changing to urgent care drastically reduce the service to the community? The NPS change from a medical clinic to an urgent care clinic has nothing to do with whether a contract is deemed exempt from the Service Contract Act. Please refer to the July 2006 Department of Labor Wage and Hour Bulletin entitled "Coverage for Concession Contracts under the Service Contract Act." YOSE005-11 - Modification #1 This clarification is being issued to respond to comments received under the solicitation. On page 13 of the Business Opportunity, second paragraph, the Service indicated that the existing concessioner fulfills its requirement of providing 24 hour emergency medical care by providing a telephonic "nurse-on-call" when the clinic is closed. This should be changed to read: "The existing concessioner's nighttime call-back responsibility is fulfilled by physicians rather than mid-level practitioners. In every case, a nurse responds to the clinic to meet with a patient requesting after-hours treatment. The nurse contacts the on-call physician to make arrangements for the physician to meet the patient at the clinic. Upon evaluation of the patient by the physician, the patient is released or transported from the park by ambulance or private vehicle." Further we are clarifying that House #65 is a four-bedroom residence rather than a three-bedroom home.
