Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Medical Center, Sioux Falls, SD, intends to negotiate solely with GE Healthcare for an Apex Pro Wireless Medical Telemetry Antenna System. Only original equipment manufacturer (OEM) General Electric Apex Pro system components can be utilized in this installation due to the nature of potential interference to medical equipment monitoring systems and compatibility with the existing antenna system. To accomplish this will require a complete new antenna system to be installed in a ward below the current system and the two systems must be connected together at an existing General Electric Apex Pro telemetry server. Work will consist of complete design and installation of a General Electric Apex Pro telemetry antenna system and all cable, filters, splitters, amplifiers, power supplies, splitter boards, wire pulling, installations, terminations and antenna mounting must be provided by and completed by the vendor. Removal of old abandoned telemetry antennas as needed and dust containment procedures will be necessary as the area involved is occupied by patients in the facility. Complete testing and certification by a General Electric trained and certified field service engineer will be required after the installation is complete. Successful installation will include verification of immunity to HD TV signals using filters as necessary, adequate range testing and overall performance will be required. Tests must be conducted using certified and NIST traceable test equipment. Any proprietary General Electric software keys/upgrades, etc that may be necessary to configure the telemetry system for the expanded coverage must be provided by the trained and certified General Electric field service engineer doing this installation. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 54519 and the size standard is $23.0 million. The award will be issued as a Firm-Fixed-Price Contract. This notice is not a request for quotations. No solicitation will be issued and proposals will not be accepted. However, any business that believes it can meet these requirements and possesses the financial capacity with relevant past experience and expertise may give written notice to the Contracting Officer within five (5) days from this notice ™s publication date. Supporting evidence must be provided in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above Brand Name requirement. This information can be emailed to Denise Hill at: denise.hill@va.gov.
