Description
The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and service necessary to perform and maintain a closed hot water heating system, closed chilled water cooling system, and an open condenser water system. Package type boilers are utilized for generating hot water, centrifugal chillers are utilized for generating chilled water and an open cell-cooling tower is utilized for condenser water heat rejection. Process water chemical treatment is utilized to control scale deposit, corrosion, pitting, slime and algae. A monitoring program using test coupons, and daily water sample testing is employed to verify satisfactory performance of the Process Water Chemical Treatment program. The Contractor shall furnish all chemicals and chemical expertise to properly maintain control of scaling, corrosion, pitting, slime and algae in the Process Water System and biocide and sludge dispersant treatment for the Fuel System. The contractor shall also furnish and maintain all chemical pumps necessary to pump liquids required by this contract. The pumps must be capable of variable/adjustable output as required to maintain proper chemical balance. This requirement is offered to all qualified, responsive concerns and offers will be considered using a tiered order of precedence. (1st - 8(a) certified small businesses, 2nd Small businesses to include Service Disabled and Women Own businesses and 3rd Large Businesses). Each tier will be evaluated using the procedure outline below: A determination of insufficient competition or unreasonable price will be made before the next tier is evaluated.
