- Please note that this is neither a request for quotes nor a request for proposals. The government is seeking information for market research purposes only and may or may not issue solicitation documents associated with this announcement. Bay Pines VA Healthcare System is conducting a market survey for qualified firms capable of providing the reagents and the instrumentation required by the Immunohistochemistry section of the Anatomic Pathology departments for (VAMC) centers in Florida and Puerto Rico. All deparaffinization and antigen retrieval must be performed online on the instrument. The instrument must have the capability to incubate individual slides at different temperatures simultaneously in the same staining run. The instrument must be able to perform IHC, ISH and FITC simultaneously on the same staining run. The instrument must be able to run paraffin embedded slides (1 protocol), non-paraffin embedded slides (total of 2 protocols), and slides using different type 1 cell conditioning (total of 3 protocols) and/or type 2 cell conditioning (total of 5 protocols) with and without enzyme digestion (total of 7 protocols) and enzyme digestion by itself (total of 8 protocols).A specific listing of required reagents is shown below. Applicable NACIS code is 325412 size standard $7.0 million. Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing (email or fax is acceptable) and received no later than July 6, 2010. The Immunohistochemistry section of the VAMC sites utilizes a Ventana Benchmark XT staining machine, designed to use proprietary fitted vials of antibodies and other reagents that snap into the machine. These reagents include the following: Actin, Alfa-Feto-Protein, Calretinin, CD3, CD10, CD20, CD31, CD34, CD68, CD117, CDX-2, CarcinoEmbrionic Antigen (CEA), Chromogranin, Cytokeratin 7, Cytokeratin 20, Pan-cytokeratin, Cytokeratin HMW, Desmin, E-Cadherin, Epithelial Membrane Antigen (EMA), GFAP, H. Pylori, Ki67, Leucocyte Common Antigen, Melan A, Melanosome (HMB45), Myoglobin, P504S, Prostate Specific Antigen, PSAP, RCC, S100, Synaptophysin, TTF-1, Thyroglobulin, Vimentin, CC-1, Anibody blocker, Amplification Kit, Blueing reagent, DAB ultraview detection Kit, EZ prep Kit, Hematoxylin, labels, Liquid coverslip, Protease 1, reaction buffer, SSC, Thermopad slides, dispenser rack, Prep kit 2, Prep Kit 3.
