Description
The attached spreadsheet provides the equipment descriptions, quatities, and features specific to this RFI for Tactical Communications Modernization. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) plans to purchase Land Mobile Radios (LMR), Portable Radios, and Repeaters to support the United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Tactical Communication Modernization Program. CBP is has a need to update their radio and radio support systems to provide dependant and effective equipment necessary for field agents to operate and communicate effectively to maintain security across the U.S. border. The DHS is interested in incorporating commercial equipment with specific features detailed as an attachment to this request for information (RFI). Responses to this RFI will support the acquisition process for this procurement as well as obtain industry input for this requirement.Note: RFI responses will NOT be shared with other industry suppliers and will solely be used as part of the contract planning process. Disclaimer: The following requested information to be provided is for the planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) nor does it restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. The Government does not inted to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or to otherwise pay for the information solicited. Any contract that might be awarded based on the information received or derived from this RFI will be the outcome of the competitive acquisition process. To aide the Government with the information solicited herein, please also provide: 1. Company name, company address, point of contact, telephone number, email address, and size of your organization (i.e. Large Business, Small Business) use NAICS Code 517911 - Wireless Telecommunications Resellers as the basis for your response. 2. Response should identify your organization's experience with radios and repeaters as well as your organizations capability for such equipment to have the specifications/features listed within the attachment to this RFI. 3.
