Description: The Program Manager Advanced Amphibious Assault (PM AAA) has a Production Tooling requirement for the Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle (EFV). Currently, General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS) is the prime EFV designer and developer, and as such, they have developed unique, highly specialized expertise and knowledge, facilities and equipment, and other capabilities regarding the design, development, manufacturing, integration, assembly, and capabilities of the vehicle. The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) intends to enter into a sole source Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract with GDLS for Production Tooling to support Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP). This Production Tooling contract shall consist of Special Tooling and Test Equipment (ST/STE), ST/STE maintenance and Friction Stir Welding (FSW) ST/STE. The Contractor shall propose to the requirement specified above, and in accordance with the Section C - Description / Specifications / Work Statement, and the other terms and conditions of the subject contract. The Contractor shall maintain all Production Tooling material delivered under this contract from date of delivery throughout the LRIP vehicle build. The Contractor must provide all required materials, services, personnel, and facilities to design or redesign, fabricate, manufacture or procure, and install and proof the Production Tooling required. The contract is planned to be awarded in late FY 12 with performance/deliverables beginning in FY 13.
