Description
The U.S. Army, Army Contracting Command (ACC) Joint Munitions & Lethality (JM&L) Contracting Center, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, on behalf of the Armament, Research, Development and Engineering Center (REDCOM-ARDEC) Small and Medium Caliber Armament Division contemplates award of a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to provide for the updating and maintaining of the Laser Bore Mapping Inspection System for 55.56mm and 50 caliber barrels for the M4, M 16, M107 and M2 weapons barrels. The BPA will require the contractor to provide Maintenance, replacement/spare parts, and technical support for the current systems in use by the Small and Medium Caliber Armament Division. This will include sensor maintenance, instrumentation maintenance and technical support. The United States Government plans to award a BPA on a sole source basis to Laser Technologies Company, LLC 6742 185th Ave NE-Suite 300 Redmond WA, 98052-6714. LTC holds certain proprietary data rights to the hardware and software of the existing ARDEC systems, and is also the sole supplier of replacement parts for the systems. LTC also possesses certified and trained personnel to perform maintenance and owns the tools to perform the proper calibrations to the machines. Utilizing a different source would result in severe duplication of cost as well as the loss of use from currently existing equipment. This notice is not a solicitation and does not obligate the government to issue a Solicitation, nor will the government be liable for any costs involved for submission of information in response to this notice. Point of Contact for this action is Jon Glassic, Contract Specialist, CCJM-SW, (973)724-3142, Jon.Glassic@us.army.mil
