- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC-PCD), Panama City, Florida is seeking sources capable of providing Magnetometers (Models: Mag648L-60 and Mag03MSL-70) and related ancillary items noted in the Standard Form (SF) 18. The magnetic gradiometers must meet the following detailed specifications: 1) Sensors should include performance certification and calibration traceable to a national standards laboratory, 2) Sensors should be very reliable with a Mean Time Between Failures (MBTF) on the order of twelve (12) years, 3) Contain a 3-axis set of fluxgate-type filed-sensing elements that are orthogonal to within 0.5?, 4) All field-sensing outputs of the sensor should have noise levels below 10 pico-Tesla per root Hertz at 1 Hertz (i.e., ? 10 pT/?Hz @ 1 Hz), 5) All field-sensing elements' outputs should be scaled to provide a differential analog output of 50 milli-Volts/micro-Tesla (50 mV/?T), 6) Magnetometer bandwidth at least : 0 Hz-30 Hz (-3dB! @ 30Hz), 7) Linearity ?0.01 % of full scale on magnetometer, 8) Scaling error ? 0.25%, 9) Measuring range +/- 100 ?T, 10) Temperature drift < 10 ppm/?C and 11) Power consumption for each sensor should be less than 20 mill-watts. The magnetometers must meet the following detailed specifications: 1) Sensors should include performance certification and calibration traceable to a national standards laboratory, 2) Sensors should include a Warranty for 24 months from date of supply of equipment, 3) Contain a 3-axis set of fluxgate-type field-sensing elements that are orthogonal to within 0.1? and with alignment error of < 0.1?, 4) All field-sensing outputs of the sensor should have noise levels below 6 pico-Tesla per root Hertz at1 Hertz (i.e., ? 6 pT/?Hz @1 Hz), 5) Magnetic field measurement range: +/- 70 micro-tesla ( ?T), 6) All field-sensing elements' outputs should be scaled to provide an analog output of 143 milli-Volts/micro-Tesla (143 mV/?T), 7) Magnetometer bandwidth at least 0 Hz-3000 Hz (-3dB @ 3000Hz) with frequency response maximally flat from 0 Hz to 1000 Hz, 8) Linearity error < 0.0015 % and 9) Scaling error < +/- 0.5%.Point of Contact is Brian Young, 850-234-468, brian.w.youn! g@navy.mil.
