Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center - Panama City Division intends to solicit Tracewell Systems, 567 Enterprise Drive, Westerville, OH 43081 on a sole source basis for the following items: (3 each) Assembly, Drive, p/n 110-2468-098-0C(4 each) Assembly, USB, p/n 110-2468-098-0C(15 each) Assembly Shuttle Drive Fire wire, p/n 110-2453-098-0C (15 each) Assembly Shuttle Drive, p/n 110-2469-098-0C. The items referenced above are components of the Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) Missions Support Station and (LCAC) common data recorder. In order to maintain 100% pin-to-pin compatibility only the Tracewell Systems components will meet form, fit, function, and interchangeability requirements for the LCAC C4N CDR and the LMSS. This acquisition is not suitable for full and open competition as the Government does not own the technical data packages or specifications to compete these procurements. Developing another source for these components would require a redesign of the LCAC Common Data Recording Unit and the LMSS beyond the scope of the current task assigned to NSWC -PC. Although other manufactures or equipment providers may supply this type of software they have not been tested or certified for use in the LCAC; therefore, to ensure operational capability and compatibility with other LCAC components, purchase action must be limited to Tracewell Systems. A Firm Fixed Price type contract is anticipated. Delivery will be FOB Destination to Naval Support Activity- Panama City, Receiving Officer, Building 100, 101 Vernon Avenue, Panama city, FL 32407-7018. NAICS Code is 334111 and FSC is 5820. Size of standard business is 500 employees. Contractors wishing to qualify items for future procurements may find out about the process for qualification by contacting Ivan Velazquez-Padilla, NSWC-PCD, (850)235-5833, Ivan.Velazquez-Padil@Navy.Mil. Anticipated award date will be on or about 27 July 2010. The basis of award is a fair and reasonable price. Contract Specialist: Cheryl Branning, Code B32, NSWC PC, 110 Vernon Avenue, Panama City, FL 32407-7001 (850) 636-6084, FAX (850) 234-4197 or email at cheryl.branning@navy.mil
