Description
DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS VISN 20, VA NW Healthcare System, South Branch Contracting, Vancouver WA, 98662 intends to negotiate a sole source Firm Fixed Price contract and will utilize procedures under FAR Part 13, with CareFusion Solutions LLC. 3750 Torrey View Ct, San Diego, CA. This procurement will be sole source due to CareFusion Solutions LLC. being the only one responsible source per 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) & FAR 6.302-1 & VAR 806.3 capable of upgrading the Alaris Systems Manager previously procured by the Portland VA Medical Center in June 2007 (PO 648-6A5129, FSS Contract V797P-4091/4091a). This request will add wireless capabilities to each of the 335 infusion controllers. This capability plus the addition of a server system will allow drug library updates, firmware updates, and information downloads to be performed without visiting each infusion controller. CareFusion is the only vendor able to provide the wireless card and system manager package upgrade, as their infusion system is proprietary, sold and installed only through CareFusion. These items are not currently on CareFusion's FSS contract. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or quotations. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government in the future. Interested parties may identify their capabilities by responding to this requirement and considered for future reference. All information submitted should support the capability to provide the items required, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be in writing and must provide clear and concise documentation indicating a bona fide capability to provide these items. Responses may be submitted via email to Darren.campbell2@va.gov.
