Description
This is a notice of intent, not a request for a proposal. A solicitation document will not be issued and proposals will not be requested. National Institute on Drug Abuse, Station Support/Simplified Acquisition, Office of Acquisitions- Neurosciences, on behalf of the National Institute on Neurological Disorders and Stroke intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a non-competitive basis to Tecniplast USA, Inc., 180 Gordon Drive, Suite 109, Exton, PA 19341 for (4) Ventilated Top Flow EB Mouse Rack Model 2T81MAC30CACP, (3) Ventilated Top Flow EB Rat Rack, Model 2H36MAC20CACP, (3) Universal Smart Flow with touch screen for all IVC racks-110 V 60Hz equipped w/transmitter for Remote Alarm System and pre arranged WDM model BOX110SF, (275) additional cage set ups model 1145T, and (125) additional cage set ups model 1291H. Existing Rodent Racks within the animal facility are designed and manufactured by Tecniplast USA, Inc. The racking systems and components will be integrated into the facility's existing program and must be interchangeable with systems already present. Cross compatibility with existing equipment is critical to the daily management of the animal care facility The acquisition is being conducted using FAR part 13.106-1(b) (1) procedures and is exempt from the requirements of FAR part 6, competition requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government.
