- PRE-SOLICIATION NOTICE TO CONSTRUCTIO A NEW ADMINISTRATION, PUBLIC INFORMATION BUILDING AND MAINTENANCE FACILITY AT THE BAY PINES NATIONAL CEMTERY LOCATED IN ST. PETERSBURG, FLORIDA. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), National Cemetery Administration, is soliciting bids under Solicitation Number VA-786A-10-IB-0111 for the following: Contractor shall provide all professional services, labor, materials, tools and equipment to prepare the site for construction operations, including demolition and removal of the existing cemetery administration/public information center (PIC) building, access road and other site features and furnish all equipment, material and supervision to construction a new administration /PIC and maintenance facilities at the Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Florida in accordance with specifications, drawings, terms and conditions herein. COST MAGNITUDE: The magnitude of this project is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. CONTRACT DURATION: Performance period is approximately 455 calendar days from date of receipt of Notice to Proceed. NAICS CODE: 236220 SIZE STANDARD: $33.5M METHOD OF AWARD: THE GOVERNMENT CONTEMPLATES AWARD OF A FIRM FIXED-PICE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT UNDER SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. Award will be made on a competitive basis under Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) 14 to a responsive, responsible service disabled veteran owned small business responding to this solicitation. OBTAINING SOLICITATION MATERIALS: Solicitation material consisting of the Invitation for Bid (IFB) details and specifications may be accessed ONLY via FedBizOpps at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No telephone requests will be accepted. The solicitation documents will be available as stated above, on or about 8-10-10. SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be up loaded to FedBizOpps. Offerors are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation prior to the time for receipt of offers. Paper copies of the amendments will NOT be individually mailed. SUBMITTING BIDS: Based on the above release date, bids will be due in our office on 9-9-10, at 2:00 PM Eastern Time. When submitting bids or offers to our address it is highly recommended that an over night service is utilized. There are unusually long delays associated with the delivery of US Postal Service first class and/or priority mail to government offices in Washington DC. BIDDER'S MAILING LIST: Interested parties should register for the Bidder's Mailing List at http://www.fedbizopps.gov "Interested Vendor List".
