- Description
- The purpose of this special notice is to show the Government's intent to award sole source to Hewlett Packard. Please see justification for this action below: Relocation of GFE one (1) Hewlett Packard Rack containing c7000 blade enclosure and EVA4400 from Mechanicsburg, PA to Houston, TX for integration and then to Hill AFB, UT. DISA expects an Hewlett Packard representative to verify and de-install the GFE equipment in preparation for the physical relocation. An Hewlett Packard representative will document the information necessary to reconnect and reconfigure the equipment at the new location. DISA expects an Hewlett Packard representative will disassemble, disconnect, de-rack, if necessary, and prepare the equipment for transport to the new location. DISA assumes equipment not covered by Hewlett Packard Support or Hewlett Packard warranty will be inspected for visual physical damage at the current equipment location and tested for minimum functionality prior to de-installation. DISA expects an Hewlett Packard representative to package as necessary, transport and deliver the equipment to the new location. Upon delivery to the new location, DISA expects an Hewlett Packard representative will re-install the equipment. Reinstallation services include equipment assembly, re-racking, completion of necessary cable connections, power-on, re-booting equipment to its initial prompt, and changing IP addresses if necessary. Verification testing is provided for equipment under Hewlett Packard Support or Hewlett Packard warranty. Minimum functionality tests will be performed for the equipment not covered by Hewlett Packard Support or Hewlett Packard warranty. Award to any other source other than Hewlett Packard would void hardware warranty currently held on these boxes and void the certification of the SAP software currently running on the appliance. This delay would have a significant impact on the national security, as this EBS system manages and controls the flow of materials and services to the warfighters. Further delay of this installation would result in scheduling conflicts and delay of other project implementations which could impose negative impacts to the EBS environment. Lastly, the investment of an estimated $551K would be lost. Accordingly, as stated in items above this hardware will need to be delivered and installation within a 21 day period after award. If you have any questions please feel free to contact the point of contact above.
