Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institute Mendota, located at 33500 West California Drive, Mendota CA. 93640.is requesting quotes for the acquisition of thirty (30).223 M-4 Carbines and twenty (20) 9mm SMG Carbines. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This acquisition is unrestricted. This combined synopsis/solicitation document incorporates clauses and provisions in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-44. All items quoted must be brand name or equal. 1. Description of Items: Each weapon will comply with Military Specifications The contractor is to provide and deliver thirty (30).223 M-4 Carbine, Safe-Semi-Burst Trigger *Caliber: 5.56MM (.233 Rem) *Method of Operation: Gas; Direct System; Locking Bolt *Magazine Capacity: 30 rounds *Weight w/o Magazine: 5.9 lb (2.68 KG) *Length: (stock retracted) 29.8 in (76cm) *Length (stock extended: 33.0 (cm 84 cm) *Barrel Length: 14.5 in (37 cm) *Muzzle Velocity:2900 ft/sec (884 m/sec) *Effective Range 600 M *Muzzle Velocity: 700-950 rpm *Front Sight: Adjustable Front *Rear Sight Target sight adjustable for windage and elevation. The contractor is to provide and deliver twenty (20) 9MM SMG Carbine, Safe-Semi-Burst *Caliber: 9MM *Method of Operation: Gas; Blowback; Closed bolt *Magazine Capacity: 32 rounds *Weight w/o Magazine: 5.75 lb (2.61 kg)) *Length: (stock retracted) 25.6 in (65.0 cm) *Length (stock extended: 28.9 in (73.4 cm) *Barrel Length: 10.5 in (26.7 cm) *Muzzle Velocity:1300 ft/sec (396 m/sec) *Effective Range: 100 m *Muzzle Velocity: 1300 ft/sec (396 m/sec) *Front Sight: Adjustable Front *Rear Sight Target sight adjustable for windage. Guarantees and Warranties: The manufacture shall warrant its products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of shipment. The warranty shall be limited to repair and/or replacement of the defective part(s). Delivery Schedule: Contractor is responsible for delivery FOB Destination to FCI Mendota, 33500 West California Drive, Mendota CA. 93640, 180 days after receipt of purchase order. Legally resided in the United States (U.S.); 2. worked for the U.S. overseas in a Federal or military capacity; or 3. been a dependent of a Federal or military employee serving overseas. [End of Clause] Evaluation Factors: The government intends to make an award on a all-or-none basis. Quotations will be evaluated and award will be based on the price, quality and overall best value to the Government. With your quote provide all specifications. Contractor must be able to deliver items no later than 180 days after receipt of purchase order. The Government will make award to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to this solicitation and is most advantageous. The proposed price must include all associated charges, fees and delivery cost (FOB Destination).
