- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is being issued in conjunction with FAR part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures, as applicable. The solicitation number is 1072576. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC 05-42) This RFQ (Request for Quote) is a request for pricing for the following. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) would like to purchase a 7900HT Fast Real Time 384 well with a SDS 96 Well Block Upgrade. Specifications for this item must meet or exceed the following: A.488 nm Blue Argon Laser light source B.CCD detection system for continuous detection from 520nm to 660nm. C.4 Block formats – including 96W, 96W FAST, 384W, and Taqman Low Density Array MicroFluidic Cards D.Fast Real-time PCR E.Primer Express and Genomic Assays compatibility F.A Blue Argon laser light source provides an enhanced excitation of fluorescent dyes used in the detection of specific DNA sequences, which in turn allows for more fluorescent signal to be detected. G.The CCD camera detection system provides for a virtual filter and full color spectral detection system. Any custom dye we choose can be standardized into the detection software. This provides for maximum flexibility in assay design. This virtual filter, CCD system eliminates the potential for lost data that can occur by using the wrong optical filter for the dye being used. H.Due to our need for high throughput Gene Expression assays, the 7900HT interchangeable block feature provides maximum throughput capability. In addition, the 7900HT offers the use of MicroFluidic Cards to run as many as 8 samples across 24 target genes in duplicate – simultaneously. No other machine offers this much throughput. This is unique capability is extremely important to our Lab. I.Must offer the flexibility of running TaqMan Gene Expression assays in a standard 120 minute time frame, or running the new Fast Real-time PCR run modules that run the same number of PCR cycles in only 40 minutes. This will allow faster time to results and provide a higher throughput of samples in any given day in a 96 well format.. You are invited to submit a quote based on the above statement of work. Your response will be evaluated based on the following: 1.Price 2.Technical Capabilities PROVISIONS and CLAUSES: The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items applies to this solicitation. The following agenda has been attached to this provision: None. The clauses at FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions, Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. The following agenda has been attached to the clause: None.
