Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation number is W90M2401120001, and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The RFQ incorporates provisions and clauses as those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular Number 2001-14 and Defense Acquisition Circular Number 91-12, 20030430 Edition. This solicitation is set aside for small business. Quotation evaluation factors will be: Best Value to the Government, Price, Delivery, Prior Performance, and Ability to meet the government requirements with each being equally considered. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation and will be most advantageous to the Government. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 5812 with small business standard of earnings less than $7 Million per year. Description of commodity: This solicitation is for 699 meals to be served for breakfast and dinner from 7 August to 28 August, 2010. The 699 meals are split into a variety of combinations some being served in a mess hall at Camp Grayling and some being placed in MERMITES (CONTAINER FOR FIELD SHIPPING) attachments will show breakdowns by meal and Military Personnel will be provided for delivery of MERMITES. ALL COMPANIES MUST BE LICENSED/REGISTERD IN THE STATE OF MICHIGAN to prepare meals from their kitchen or mobile kitchen. License/Registration must be valid and provided with quote. All meals will be in accordance with the Michigan 14 Day Menu Plan which is attached. The second attachment will specify numbers of meals to be served in mess hall and field meals. Contractor must comply with all Local, State and Federal laws relating to food preparation, transportation and serving of food. Disposable plates, silverware, napkins, cups and applicable condiments must also be provided with the meal. Contractor will supply a prepared meal and beverage for each meal period, stay on-site during meal service and clean-up after service is completed.Meals are to be in compliance with the 14 day menu, which consists of a minimum of 6oz meat, drinks 8 oz minimum, and other servings of fruits, vegetables, and starches a minimum of 4 oz.The Government will not furnish any equipment or facilities for the preparation of food. Vendor will provide single service items, disposable plates, cups, flatware and condiments for the meals. Successful offeror must: 1) Must provide written price quote. 2) Must be specific on turn around time from the moment order is placed and how quickly delivery will be. 3) Must be capable of receiving payment via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), preferable method of payment would be credit card payment. 4) Must be registered with Central Contracting Registry (CCR) http://www.ccr.gov. Qualifying offers will meet the stated specifications and be accompanied by completed provisions 52.212-3 and 252.225-7000. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror who offer conforms to this solicitation and will be most advantageous to the Government.
